Passengers at Palermo’s international airport, Falcone e Borsellino, can now choose from three new food and beverage spaces. Avolta has introduced two formats: AMORE Do Eat Better, which serves an Italian culinary experience, and Wine Bar Planeta, a partnership with the Planeta family, a well-known Sicilian winery.
AMORE Do Eat Better offers a modern Italian dining setting that combines a bar, snack service, casual meals and digital self-ordering. The concept debuted in 2022 and has expanded to eight sites across Italy as well as locations in Düsseldorf and Athens.
The concept’s design draws on local Italian atmospheres, creating a warm and inviting space. It presents a range of gastronomic choices, featuring certified DOP and IGP recipes and ingredients. Menus are adapted to showcase local specialties that vary by location, reinforcing authenticity for each traveler.
Wine Bar Planeta marks the winery’s first foray into the travel-retail arena, presenting a curated selection of Planeta labels sourced from the family’s seven estates, all certified organic. The bar also highlights wines from Serra Ferdinandea, a collaborative project between Planeta and the Oddo family in western Sicily. The setting emphasizes the region’s viticultural heritage.

Prima Vista Lounges has opened a new lounge, Prima Vista, on the third level of the passenger terminal. Spanning 400 square meters, the area provides a comfortable environment with distinct zones for relaxation, work and dining.
The lounge includes ten workstations equipped with charging systems, a private phone booth, and thirty-two relaxation seats that also feature charging points. Four panoramic relaxation spots with sea view offer varied seating options while travelers wait for their flights. Quiet corners are available for those seeking a more subdued atmosphere.
The dining section contains a bar and a self-service area with twenty-four seats, plus a dedicated kitchen that prepares fresh meals on site. It also provides two reserved relaxation areas, separate restrooms and a shower facility for passenger use. Hygiene standards are maintained throughout the space.
