MSC Cruises Unveils High-Tech, Adventure-Filled Ship Experiences - high-tech cruises
MSC Cruises introduces AI-powered robots and microbreweries using desalinated seawater on its ships.

MSC Crociere is transforming its ships into immersive destinations, offering passengers a blend of technology, adventure, fine dining, wellness, and family-friendly activities. Leonardo Massa, Vice President Southern Europe of MSC Cruises, highlights that modern cruise ships are no longer just a means of transport but experiential hubs filled with innovative attractions. The brand has charted an innovative path, featuring AI-powered robots, onboard microbreweries using desalinated seawater, Formula 1 simulators, thermal wellness areas with real snow, and live evening entertainment events.

Thrill-Seeking Heights and Record-Breaking Slides

MSC’s ships feature daring attractions like Cliffhanger on MSC World America, a swing that lifts passengers 50 meters above sea level, offering breathtaking views beyond the ship’s edge. On MSC Seascape, the ROBOTRON spins a gondola 360 degrees at 53 meters high, providing an adrenaline-pumping experience. The Venom Drop @ The Spiral on MSC World Europa is a dry steel slide spanning 11 decks, while MSC World Asia will introduce The Spiral @ Tree of Life, crossing 12 decks for an even more thrilling descent.

Interactive Entertainment and Culinary Adventures

Passengers can engage in MasterChef at Sea, a culinary competition where they cook under the guidance of onboard chefs. MSC Formula Racer offers a virtual racing experience, allowing guests to compete in real-time. Select ships also feature professional flight simulators for aviation enthusiasts. Family-focused areas, developed in partnership with LEGO and Chicco, cater to various age groups with creative and educational activities.

The Aurea Spa on select ships includes a Snow Room, offering real snow at subzero temperatures for a thermal contrast after a Finnish sauna. This unique feature is available on MSC Seaview, MSC Seashore, MSC Seascape, and MSC World America. MSC Virtuosa’s Starship Club features Rob, a humanoid robot bartender, while AI-powered robot dogs from Unitree Robotics entertain and educate children through STEM workshops and interactive parades.

Sustainable Dining and Live Entertainment

MSC’s Oceanic Craft Brewery, located in the Masters of the Sea pub on World-class ships, produces craft beer using desalinated seawater in collaboration with Teo Musso of Baladin. Onboard Mozzarella Stations feature master cheesemakers crafting fresh mozzarella daily, while pizza is produced fresh every day. The 2026 lineup includes Dirty Dancing: In Concert, a live-to-film show with a band and dancers on stage, a revamped ’70s party, the return of the flamenco show Paz on MSC Meraviglia, and new main shows on MSC Seaview and MSC Grandiosa.
