Visit West, the official tourism partnership for the West of England, has introduced a new online platform designed specifically for travel trade professionals. The website serves as a central hub for destination management companies, tour operators, and travel agents, offering detailed supplier information and ready-made travel plans for Bristol, Bath, and nearby destinations.
The platform features a full supplier directory that includes listings for accommodations, attractions, activities, food and drink businesses, and ground transportation services. Each entry emphasizes key advantages for group travel, provides trade-specific details, and showcases exclusive experiences tailored to professional buyers. Additionally, a dedicated itineraries section presents pre-designed routes covering Bath, Bristol, the Cotswolds, and the Mendip Hills, allowing planners to quickly incorporate these destinations into broader travel programs.
Jon Chamberlain, Visit West‘s head of marketing, described the new resource as essential for buyers seeking to expand or improve itineraries in the region. He also mentioned that upcoming updates will introduce market-specific travel packages and an expanded supplier database to meet evolving industry needs.
This initiative follows a recent trade outreach program in Australia and New Zealand, where Visit West collaborated with Visit Britain to engage with 150 travel agents during meetings in Auckland. In Sydney and Melbourne, British tourism providers connected with more than 300 industry buyers, including representatives from trade publications.
Looking ahead, Visit West will participate in major industry events during the autumn season, including the UKinbound Inspire workshop, the Global European Marketplace, and the World Travel Market. The organization will also lead a sales initiative targeting the Chinese market. Additionally, Visit West will co-host the Great West Way Marketplace at Bristol Dockyards, offering familiarization trips for buyers from Germany, Switzerland, and Australia.
More than 1 million international visitors are estimated to have travelled to the West of England region in 2025, generating around £500 million in visitor spending. Both Bristol and Bath consistently appear among the most popular choices for overseas travelers, further solidifying their reputation in the global market.
